Can someone tell me how to reset a Ricoh laser printer back to factory
default? n a HP you hold down the online button at powerup. What do
you do on a Ricoh?

Thanks
Jim

You should be able to go offline, go into the printer's main menu, then go
to maintenance. In this menu you should see system reset, which reset to
factory defaults. I should point out, this is for a AP4500, that we have at
the office. You might try going to http://www.ricoh-usa.com/ then check in
support for a manual for your particular printer model.

On the LP1200, when in Ready mode press Reset, then press up or down
arrow repeatedly to Factory, then press Enter.

1. HP 3600n resetting to factory settings?

I have managed to select chinese language during initial setup of Color
Laser Jet 3600n. Now, after power up, I am presented with chracters I
can not understand at all. I can print and access printer by network,
but this can change just JetAdmin (Print Server) language. I would like
to change panel manus to english or something more readable. I suppose
there should be some kind of cold reset, or reset to factory settings,
but there is no such information in manuals, and even HP chat service
has not helped me. Is there hope, or should I try to find some chinese
fellows with tehnical knowladge?

3. Laser Postcards Ricoh 3800

We are in the real estate business and we produces a large number of
two page property reports daily. We have a couple of Ricoh 3800's to
handle our output. The property report consists mostly of text, a
survey, and a digital image.

We are experimenting with printing complimentary postcards with each
report. The postcards are printed on cardstock which we feed through
the bypass tray. On the front we print four images of the property and
then we cut the cardstock into four cards. We'll be running a couple
of sets of postcards per week, and the quality is acceptable for what
we are trying to do.

Unfortunately, we have two horizontal color lines that appear across
every (front) page we print. The lines do not appear when we do a test
print on normal paper. We tried using the lightest postcard cardstock
we could find and the lines still were there. They run lengthwise
through the paper are centered almost exactly halfway through the
postcards, which makes them totally unusable.

Is this a problem with the thickness of the cardstock? Or is it a
problem with the Laser?

(We tried using an inkjet and it's just too slow for our volume) So
we'd really like to get this working with the Ricoh.

Thanks,
Eric

5. Black/grey stripes on sheets with a Ricoh laser printer

Hi all,
Some friends of mine own a color laser printer (Ricoh CL7000)...
And have a very annoying problem :
There are some gray/black stripes on the sheets of paper when printing
(in black or black/color). The documents are printed correctly except
from these stripes. They look as "bar codes" and on a A4 sheet, there
are two stripes printed vertically.
I try to clean the printer but w/o any result.
Any idea
TIA
