2. Odd Character Studio problem

Hello everyone

I've been animating Character studio bipeds since the package came out, but
this has me stumped .. I'd be very grateful if anyone knows how to fix it.

If I try and place a key on either of the feet to take a step, the foot will
snap back to the position it was in before I tried to move it. It will let
me rotate around a selected pivot on the foot (so I can rotate the feet a
little to shuffle weight around, but only on the spot).

Has anyone any ideas?

I can place a key normally if I move the IK to 'Body' rather than 'Object',
but then I obviously loose the IK I need with the floor.
I've tried moving the foot on 'body' IK, and then clicking back to 'object'
once the key is set, but the second I click on 'object', it snaps back to
the old position.

I assume something sent wrong with whoever set up the bip I'm using. I have
a male and a female character that came to me with no animation on them, and
even with those originals, if I load them up and try to place keys, the male
works fine, but the female character does this snapping thing. The problem
is that I've done 3000 frames of animation with the female character and
saving her bip and loading it onto the male makes him to the same thing!

Arggg

Anyone got any ideas at all?

Oh yea, one more thing, that I don't know if will give any clues or not. The
right foot of the female biped is red (rather than the usual green that the
reast of the leg still is). I've only ever noticed this with biped once
before when a hand turned red for some reason, but it didn't seem to change
anything so I ignored it. Does that indicate anything?

Hope someone has an idea.

Thanks
Dee
