solidworks >> How do i draw arrows in drawing mode?

by Brice Wu » Thu, 07 Oct 2004 01:49:52 GMT

I am trying to indicate a section of a jig that needs to be pulled down, and
i can't figure out how to draw an arrow with an arc extention line to show
it. All i can think of is to draw a 3 point arc and a triangle in drawing
mode, then the problem with that is how do i color in the triangle?

Help plz.

You can use a solid fill to fill the triangle. If I remember correctly,
it's in the hatch tool.

You can also use the multi-jog leaded to create a short leader with an
arrow head, then add your arc to that.

i tried using the multi-jog leader, but i can't connect an arc to it. if i
use a circle, it creates 2 triangles making it look like a detail view,
which i don't want.

Draw Your arrow....highlight the sketch and insert annitation/area
hatch/fill ...take solid klick ok. Now highlight (left mouse button) the
area hatch and go to line color....choose your color and it should be done.

5. drawing mode very slow

Hi,

Using XP Prof, SWX 2004 SP1 and Quaddro 2.

I am experiencing massive slow down in drawing mode while dragging views and
dimensions. CPU usage rockets to 100%. The dimensions are lining up with the
others, maybe that's it. Can I turn that off? Currently I am able to edit
dimensions of the part from within the drawing, can I turn that off too?

Thanks.

7. Change drawing view mode - European vs American

I've recently run into a problem creating drawings in SW2006, where as
my projected views come out European style instead of American style.
To clarify, when I create a projected view to the right, instead of the
right side of the part showing, the left side shows. I've gone through
options and setup in SW a dozen times and can't find what I would need
to change to correct this. If any one knows what I'm talking about and
knows where this can be corrected, please let me know. I didn't even
realize that I had this problem until a vendor came back with a "What
are you trying to do" comment. Appreciate any help.
