Flight Simulation Games >> fs9 on 15.4'' monitor

by Heiko Thomas » Wed, 10 Aug 2005 03:43:17 GMT

I hope someone knows a workaround for this one:

I have a new notebook with a 15.4'' monitor and Intel Pentium 1.73 + ATI
X700 (128MB) + 1024GB Ram and it runs FS9 + Level-D 767 + Active Weather
2004 + My Traffic very nicely!

But: in resolution 1280x800 or 1280x768 the display is "sqeezed" (I have
very flat and long/wide aircraft and cockpits, not as real as it gets). In
resolution 1024x768 the display hs the correct proportions (and two black
margins to the left an to the right, which don't bother me)

Any ideas are welcome!

Cheers and thanks,

3. Using 2 monitors with FS9

I have a new monitor coming for my system and before I sell the old
one I would like to hook up both to my PC and run FS9. The video card,
ATI Radon 9800, supports 2 monitors. Any suggestions on how to do this
since I never used two before. I assume I just drag and drop to the
other monitor? What do most people put on the second monitor? I assume
the throtle panel, the radio stack, etc? How do you get the scenery to
span two monitors? Any info would be more that what I know now.

5. difference between 10 and 15 cpi

On OS400 versions before V5R2 if I used CPI-15 on a OCL line (I know, I
know) the OS took the "landscape" mode from the *WSCST.
Using V5R2 it does not do that and it uses the "portrait" mode. So for both
10 and 15 cpi it uses the same setting, and that is annoying.
Does anyone of you know if that is correct ? I hope not. And what I can do
about that.
