spss >> How to create an index--product of values of variables

by christopheriden@googlemail.com » Fri, 21 Dec 2007 20:59:51 GMT

Hi,

This might seem trivial. But I am trying to create a hedonic index and
thus have to calculate the product of all the values of a certain
variable and then calculate the geometric average of this. I didnt
manage to do it yet.
How can I calculate the product of the values of a variable and print
it on the screen. If anybody knows how to implement that in syntax
would be nice.

regards

christopher

Lose the EXE and the last I looked aggregate required some sort of
OUTFILE ;-)

Neila, for the last few versions (I don't remember which was the
first), omitting OUTFILE results in the aggregated variables being
written into the working data file.
