Word Document management >> Screen fonts are not clear in Office 2007

by SHVnaA » Fri, 27 Jul 2007 00:26:05 GMT

I have a 1680x1050 display running Windows Vista Premium and Office 2007.
The fonts on all of office, and I have tried several, are not clear and sharp
as they should be. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Is your resolution set correctly? Your screen may be able to do 1680x1050,
but it may be set to a lower resolution in Control Panel.

Thanks Cliff, but the resolution is set correctly.

This could be attributable to Word's default use of Cleartype for display,
which is anything but. (Word Options > Popular). Try turning it off - though
frankly with this application, I think you'll prefer it selected.

7. Not printing what I am seeing on the screen

I am using Word 2000

I have created a long document. On the screen and in "view print layout",
my pages look the way I want them to print out. But when I print them out
they are off by a line or two and sometimes 3. For example: Page 10 will
start with a heading of "Heading1" at the top of the page. This is what I
see on the screen when I view "print layout". But when I print the page, my
"heading1" is at the bottom of the previous page #9. To get it to print in
the right spot, I have to go back in on page 10 and add two blank lines to
get it to print correctly at the top of page 10. Can anyone tell me what is
wrong? Is there a setting to correct this? Please help.
It is a pain to have to print the document 1 page at a time to see where
everything is.
