there any documentation that will help us.

You have a couple of ways to do this.

Windows Server comes with Services for Macintosh that you can install by
using the Add/Remove Control Panel and adding the correct Windows
components. Use the Help in the Start menu to guide you through this
process. It's really very good and thorough.

If you only have a few Macs that you need to connect to the server and
the server is already used by multiple Windows clients, then I would
suggest using Dave from http://www.thursby.com . I suggest this because
it will put the burden of the connection on the Mac and will not require
you to alter the Windows Server system to accommodate just one or two
Mac clients. The less you do to a server, the more stable it remains.

We have a Mac server (OS 9/ASIP 6.3.3).

I can connect to it from my PC (Win XP Pro SP1), but when in Word/Excel,
have trouble saving files. Usually the first save of a file to the Mac
server works, but subsequent saves seem to hang Windows and Word/Excel.

I had this problem with Win2K PCs with SP3, but it seems to have been fixed
in SP4.

But on XP, the problem persists. Any ideas?

I have a workbook created on Excel 2000 (Win) with a chart and 12 linked
worksheets. When I try to open in Excel 2004 (Mac) a progress window opens
very briefly and disappears without opening the workbook. No diagnostics,
nothing. Is there any way I can diagnose what might be the problem?
