macintosh, How to Connect MAC to Server2003

My network is Server2003, SP1 with alll XP except one MAC, !0.3. I smply
cannot find a KB on how to connect the MAC to access the Windows file server
in the domain. The MAC is getting its IP address correctly from the MS
DHCP/DNS server and I am logging in as a domain user after setting up
Directory Access, as far as I can tell.

No one here knows MACs so I need some Microsoft guidance on this

I'm not completely sure what you're expecting, but I'm sure with a few
messages back and forth we'll be able to get you what you're needing.

You're asking how to connect the Mac "in the domain". Macs do not
participate in Windows domains as members but can make themselves appear
in a domain or workgroup using the Directory Access utility found in
/Applications/Utilities. Specifically, Macs can use SMB to participate
in Windows file sharing.

A better client to allow Macs to participate in a Windows domain would
be Dave from http://www.thursby.com . This is a commercial product but
it's ideal at helping a few Macs on a network connect to a Windows
server when you don't want to modify your server.

Rather than using SMB, you can also install File Services for Macintosh
on your server. See the Windows Server's Start --> Help menu for
information about how to install and configure this.

Finally, Mac OS X 10.3 and higher can be bound to a Windows Active
Directory system. This allows an admin to require users to log in to
their Macs and authenticate using the Windows servers.

This helped a great deal, the trick was the SMB when accessing the file
server.
