I remember seeing a link to a how-to article for using mail merge in
Publisher 2002 that was very good. Would someone be kind enough to repost
it? Thanks so much.

Hi Brian,

I followed your link but couldn't find anything about mailmerge for
letters/envelopes we want to send out. Is there a link on the site that will
take me to the site of the British tutorial on mailmerge? Thanks.

2. Still Mail Merge Problems in Pub 2002

Hi"donotknock",

I did as you recommended and converted the Excel address
file to a CSV format.

I can access and edit that file within Publisher 2002 but
if I choose "comma" instead of tab format, the software
freezes. I can get the field information from the comma
format (although not as I want it to print) but when I go
to print it tells me that I have too many documents to
print (even if I select only 3 or 4 recipients from the
list).

Now what can I do? Thanks for your previous advice!

4. Printing a postcard mail merge in Pub 2002

Hey everyone....

I am trying to print a small postcard mailer in Publisher 2002; about 200
separate postcards, 2 up on a page. I have a brand new HP colour laser
printer 1500L that supports duplex printing.

I cannot understand why I cannot print ONLY the front side of the postcards
first, then take that stack of postcards with the front printed on it, turn
the stack over, insert that stack into my printer tray, and then ask
Publisher 2002 to print the address side of the postcard.

Just wonder if anyone knows how to successfully do this without having to
create two separate files for front side of postcard and back side of
postcard?

I've noticed that without the mail merge, Publisher does give you the option
to print either the front or back of the postcard (pg. 1 or 2), but when you
add the mail merge, this option is nowhere to be found in the print dialog
box that comes up.

I would truly appreciate your help and thank everyone who reads this for
taking the time to do so.

Cheers,

DGM

I have switched from using Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail, but now I'm

Hi! I posted an inquiry on 2/21/04 regarding problems I'm
having doing a mail merge in Publisher 2002 (using

file from MS...I did so and restarted my PC, but Publisher
still freezes after opening the source file (in this case
an Access database)and doesn't allow me to go to the next
step. Any other advise? I may end up just printing
labels and affixing them to the postcards I'm trying to
mail merge information into...your help is appreciated!
