Microsoft Office Publisher, Mail merge error message

1. publisher-mail merge-error message: cannot be completed becaus

i get to SELECT DATA BASE, BROWSE, i click the file and that's when the 
problem starts

3. numeric overload error message in mail merge with publisher 98 and Excel 97

I am using publisher 98 and doing a mail-merge on an 8 1/2 
11 sheet which has 4 separate post cards on the page (each 
post card has a text box to insert the name and address 
for the mail merge) The mail merge will start to print and 
then just stop and the error message will come up that 
says "numeric overload" and it will stop printing. I then 
start it over from where it stopped and it will print 
another page and then stop - then I can't get it to go 
again. There are about 170 contacts on the address list in 
Excel.
Please tell me what I am doing wrong and how to resolve 
the problem. 
I need to print 4 per page for postcards- I print the 
invitations on the other side and cut the page into 4 
postcards using a paper-cutter.

5. I receive an error message when trying to e-mail a Publisher docum

I'm using Publisher 2002 and Outlook 2003.  I'm trying to send an e-mail 
using Publisher (embedded rather than an attachment). When I click on "Send 
as E-mail" I receive the following message, "Publisher cannot mail your 
publication because part of the mail system is missing.  Reinstall your 
program and try again."  I reinstalled all of Microsoft Office (including 
Outlook), restarted my computer, and when trying to e-mail the publication, I 
still received this message.  I changed my default mail program to Outlook 
Express 6.0.  I still received the same error message.  I've changed my 
default mail program back to Outlook 2003.  Any suggestions would be greatly 
appreciated!
