Microsoft Office Publisher >> How do I reverse a black and white picture in publisher?

I have a black and white picture but I need to reverse the colors so that the
black area becomes white, and the white black. I am using Publisher. Thanks!

You would need to use an image editing program. Publisher doesn't have a
negative feature.

Brian,

Which software program does? I am working on a research program for school
and the pictures eventually get into publisher. I just took over the project
and am unsure of what application I need to reverse the color. Any
suggestions?

Photoshop can do negative. PhotoDraw (by Microsoft) has an awesome Negative
feature,

Paint Shop Pro will also do it.
As will Microsoft Paint.

Microsoft shows photodraw to be discontinued. Does this leave only photoshop?

Well, I assumed you might already have one. Ed says that MS paint has this.
That comes with windows. I think it's under Start > Programs > Accessories.

Thank you both. I will check at school to see if either are on the computer
there. I have paint on my personal, but not the others.

The freeware IrfanView can do what you ask.

Download IrfanView 3.97

(get the plug-ins too)

Open the B&W image in IrfanView and go to...
Image / Negative.

I'd be hard pressed to think of an image editor that can't!

I'll have to make a "note" of that (snicker). :-)

1. WordArt reverse black & white

I am working with Publisher 2003 (or trying to)

In a WordArt object, I want to achieve the effect of white text on a black
background / fill. Also known as "reverse".

I tried pressing the fill button or the formatting bar for the Word Art
object, but it applies the fill colour TO THE TEXT ITSELF, not to the
background / area around the text.

It was easy in Publisher 2000 (most things were easier in 2000). Why so hard
in 2003
?

Thaks for help.

4. why does print preview in publisher black & white for color image - Microsoft Office Publisher

5. Publisher Black and White Printing

I am creating a newsletter with Publisher with the intention of PDF'ing it so
that users can download it and print it off themselves. If users use a black
and white printer, the colors don't contrast enough (e.g. yellow on black).
Is there anyway I can use a light font with a dark background without
resorting to white on black?
