wireless >> Web Mail Using Ipaq 5555 + Wireless Card

by Sean » Sun, 26 Oct 2003 09:52:55 GMT

I have an HP ipaq 5555 with a wireless card to access the
Internet. I can access my email at work via Microsoft
Outlook Web Access Version 5.5 SP4 however, everything
appears to be working properly except opening/composing
an email. When I tap to open the email nothing happens.
Anyone have this problem or know of a solution to correct
my problem? Thank you!

Echange OWA doesn't work properly with pocket IE. Exchange 2000 & 2003 do
work but I'm guessing that you don't have any control over exchange.
Netfront browser works with OWA 5.5 and will problaby be you best bet.

Thank you for the reply, Kid. I went to the below web
site and loaded the demo version of the recommended
software and there are still problems. In fact I can not
get past the "logon" screen. When I get to the screen
where it prompts me to enter my username and then I hit
enter and/or attempt to tap "next," it does not respond.
As it was before, I was at least able to get to the email
screen. Any ideas? Thanks!

Sean

No. Supported devices are Pocket PC 2000 and Pocket PC
2002 based only.

3. Configuring wireless connection with WEP on IPaq 5555

Hi All,
I have iPaq 5555 and have successfully configured it to connect to my
Linksys wireless network without using WEP.
Once I enable WEP encryption on the Router, the PPC detects the network, and
asks for the Key, and I put it in (using Key 1). All the configuration seems
to be OK, the status says "Connected", but I can not get to the internet. I
used to be able to do that without the WEP enabled.

HP or Linksys is not able to help me.

With the new and improved Connection Manager in PPC 2003, I thought this
would be easy.

Can anyone please help.

7. iPAQ 5555 and Nokia 3650 using Running Voice?

Well Ive been at this for a few days now and other than sound issues Ive
gotten everything working. GSM, GSM-data and GPRS. The only problem I have
is I cant get any sound in or out of the iPAQ while in RVGSM. The sound/mic
works in every other app except RVGSM. Does this setup require a headset or
have I over looked something? Eventually I was planning on going with a BT
headset to go along with this combo but if it doesnt work Im not ;)

Does anyone have this combo working correctly on an iPAQ with sound/mic?

Pocket Presence website/tech support is non-existent. Ive emailed em many
times but have NEVER received any ack in return.

TIA

Mitch
