i cannot get this particular card to connect to my dlink wireless router at
all with mobile 2003. i know the card is not yet supported on 2003, but i
know others have gotten it to work with the latest drivers (not the new beta
drivers, the standard ones). can't get any connection at all.

Try aximsite.com, same OS different unit(Dell Axim X5). Do a search for
D-link on the main page. It will bring up dozens of informative posts
relating to your query. Click through the posts and eventually you'll get to
the info you need. It will work, the D-Link.

Is anyone else having problems with this card? I have tried both the
drivers that came with the card and the updated drivers, but when I
insert the card 1) nothing happens and the utility says that the card
is turned off. 2) a message comes up as unrecognized card in socket1
or 3) occationally the card is recognized and works. But this only
happens once out of twenty times and when I try to set up WEP on my
router and cf card I loss the connection. Is this card a piece of crap
or just has a problem with IPaq's. I see in the newsgroup that people
have problems with linksys cards that use the prism chipset and I
believe that this card uses a similar chip since the device driver is
called prismnds.dll. Should I just throw this card away and if so what
is a good cf card to get? Any help? TIA

I have a D-Link DCF-660W 802.11b wireless adaptor for Ipaq 2215. I had it
working at one time, but I upgraded the Ipaq to version 1.08. Since then, I
have had times when it works fine and other times when it hasn't worked at
all. I even downgraded the Ipaq version back to 1.00, with no help.

Anybody else have problems with the D-Link?

PS I even bought a Linksys 802.11b wireless for the Ipaq thinking that the
wireless D-Link had a problem, but I get the same results, so I sent the
Linksys back, so it appeares to be the Ipaq software.

7. Easy DCF-660W Question

I'm debating whether to purchase a Linksys WCF12 or a DLink DCF-660W.
The linksys advertises a nice feature, which is the ability to "turn
off" the card when you don't need the wireless connection. I like
this feature, since it would save me from having to constantly remove
the card (to save battery power). Can anyone with this card tell me
if there is such a feature? Or maybe a generic feature in PPC2002 to
do this?

Thanks,
Rob
