Seems like you don't have a valid SMTP server when you our outside your
company. You probably need to setup another Account that uses an SMPT
server that you can reach when away from the company.

Actually I am inside the company on the company server
but I can not send email outside of the company. I was
thinking along the SMTP lines but the folks at my company
are not all that helpful since I purchased the IPAQ
myself and they do not support it. Thanks for the info

... or it could be an SMTP relay ACL at the mail server
that is denying your iPAQ 'host' (pop/smtp client) as a
not acceptible mail relay.

2. Verizon Wireless Wireless Sync Question

Verizon's Wireless ActiveSync is simply explained as a wireless extension of
the Microsoft ActiveSync application that you use to synchronize your i700
contacts, email, calendar and files with your desktop PC.

If you have set up Microsoft ActiveSync on your desktop computer for your
i700, you know that it activates whenever you place your i700 in the cradle.
Wireless ActiveSync works the same way, except that your i700 and desktop
computer communicate through the Verizon network and the Internet. This
works best if you have an "always-on" Internet connection on your desktop.
I believe you have to have an unlimited data plan in order to use Wireless
ActiveSync.

Hope this helps.

4. Configuring Internet Explorer for use with wireless LAN

Dear all,

My roommate has an Apple Airport Express for his Powerbook (sorry...).
I'd like to use this for internet access. However, I can't seem to get
Internet explorer to use the Wifi adapter. It keeps asking for a modem
device and a telephone number...

Could someone explain to me how I can get IE to understand that it has
to use the Wifi connection?

Airport Express is visible and accessable.

Thanks a lot,

I've heard about the new SanDisk, but do not know if it's a 802.11g
device. I have a HP H2210 and would like to use the SDIO slot, not the
CF slot.

My dream would be to have an SDIO card which also works thru an adapter
in a notebook PCMCIA slot. Ever heard of this?
