wireless >> SanDisk SD WiFi Card Review

I can't wait for this card, or rather... the 256mb SDIO wifi card... for me
my PDA only has one slot, an SDIO slot... and no sleeves available like the
IPAQ's....

So I cant surf the web and d/l things, unless I have more memory... but I
cant have more memory and surf the web... =) see the problem?

wireless >> SanDisk SD WiFi Card Review

Has anyone tested the SD WiFi card with the Viewsonic V37?

The specs say that the slot is SDIO compatible. However, no one has
confirmed that it really is yet.

I hope they do a better job with transfer rates on the memory side of this
card. I am looking forward to the wifi/memory combo but currently their
memory SD cards are sub-par.

SanDisk SD WiFi Card Review

All,

Don't hold you breath on Aug 1!!!

I to am waiting with baited breath for any form of this card to be released
however the Aug. 1 date isn't going to happen. I called the Sandisk customer
support today to get a part number for the card, and was told they were
still working on driver compatibility and had no release date or part
number.

I also checked with two buyers for major resellers and they had no
additional info on when the card will be available. I have a felling they
will not release the card until they can develop more drivers for deferent
PDA's. This is a real pain because my iPAQ 2215/10 is compatible already.
But I guess this makes business sense since their will be a lot of angry
Dell and Toshiba owners.

By the way Dave ... you realy have a great, informative site.

Theirs also a good review of the card at

SanDisk SD WiFi Card Review

I guess you're right, it does make business sense...but I mean, come
on...how long are they going to continue pushing this back? As much as I
want to wait for the SD card, I need wireless...I will probably just go buy
a Socket WLAN card if SanDisk does not release their card within the next
week...here's hoping for a miracle.

SanDisk SD WiFi Card Review

I agree.

It's getting to the point where I'll buy the first card on the market or
just bite the bullet and buy a Compact Flash card. Luckily I have the option
of using both types of cards.

FYI Socket's card is now pushed back until late August or early September.
But by the time they package and distribute the SanDisk card it'll be late
August.

Viewsonic is also suppose to release a card soon but since they can't
manufacture enough V37 for the 25,000 developers who are getting them free,
from the Microsoft offer, their card probably isn't a option either ??

Hi,

I have a iPaq 3970 running PPC 2002 and have installed a SanDisk SD
WiFi card.

I am now able to connect to my company Intranet without any problems
but I cannot connect to the Internet through our ISA2000 Proxy Server
which requires authentication. When I try this I get the message 'The
page you are looking for cannot be found'.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Pete.
