I am trying to get my H5550 working with some type of wireless modem. I
bought the Sierra Wireless 750 and had to return it because after being told
it would work, both HP and Sierra Wireless tech support changed the story
and said that it wasn't supported.

Anyone have any suggestions? Just want it to use it to pick up email and do
things like lookup air travel times ect... while travelling.

I am using the H5550 with the Sierra AirCard 555 (Verizon's 1x network).
Since the PPC 2003 drivers for the AirCard 555 are not officially released
yet, I had to install the PPC 2002 drivers with the patch available through
Sierra to get the card connecting at 1x.

I have the IPAQ 5150, with Linksys CF card and Linksys
WAP. I used the Linksys beta WCE2003 drivers for the CF
card and they "almost" work, in fact they work better on
someelses WIFI than with the Linksys WAP. It's not
perfect yet, but after some time, it works.

Hello,

can any one help me please?

i have a iPAQ h5550 and want to connect it to my home computer via a Belkin
wireless desktop network card. My home computer has XP Pro.
i have spent hours trying to figure how to do this but no luck yet. does any
one know if i need a different card?
the network card has a strong signal and the iPAQ has a green indication
that has found my network. i just can't seem to get anything to work between
them.

6. wireless printing from h5550 

I have h5550 successfully communicating with wlan (buffalo wbr-g54 router).
I have a hp deskjet 960c hanging off a linksys WPS1 wireless print server
(fixed ip address).

I've successfully installed mobile printing but cannot print if i enter the
IP address of the print server into the printer config on the ipaq.

However, if i share the printer on my desktop pc (which communicates to the
printer over wireless anyway) and place the address of the printer in the
ipaq config (ie. //odin/printer) then the ipaq prints ok.

I do not want to have the desktop machine on to print from the ipaq. Any
ideas?
