wireless >> Ipaq 2210 and "My Network Card Connects to:" doesn't stay.

by Keith » Wed, 01 Oct 2003 08:59:29 GMT

I've got a Ipaq 2210 and wi-fi was working fine one day
with my SD Wi-Fi from Sandisk. Today, I can get a signal
but can't surf the net with IE or Messenger because when
I go to my network card settings to set "My Network card
connects to: Internet," it keeps reverting back to Work
as soon as I hit ok. I have soft reset until my face is
blue and can't figure this out. Any thoughts.

Thanks
-Keith

Have you tried keeping it on work and just marking in the advanced settings
that "this network connects to the internet" ?

Maybe it will help. It is usually together with the proxy settings.

2. ipaq 2210 compact flash wireless network card

I have a iPAQ 2210 and I bought a Buffalo WLI-CF-S11G-3 Compact Flash
wireless network card.

I loaded the driver but the 2210 will not recognise it.

When I look at the Buffalo web site their FAQs say that Pocket PC does not
support their card but if I downlaoded and installed the Compaq wireless
driver the card would then work.

I have tried this but it will still not work.

Has anybody else had this problem??

4. HELP iPAQ 2210 will not stay turned off!

This may or may not be a bug (feature?) but I still want your opinion about
it.

The iPAQ 2210 cradle is connected to a USB port on my PC. The iPAQ 2210 is
in the cradle, activesync is connected and the batteries are charging. If I
now turn off the iPAQ 2210 then activesync will disconnect as expected.
However, after a couple of minutes the iPAQ 2210 will (by itself) turn on
again and resume the activesync connection. Why? Is it my PC that is waking
up the iPAQ 2210?

I also have an iPAQ 3970 and if I turn that off it will stay turned off
until I manually turn it on again. It has never turned on by itself...

Please shed some light on this issue.

/Magnus

6. IPAQ H2215 Doesn't recognize Belkin CF Wireless Network Card

I purchased the same card when I purchased my 2215. Your experiences exactly
match my own. From what I can tell, the problem is a driver problem
(Belkin?). At least you got a response from Belkin. That's more than I got
from them. Jeff

7. my pocketpc wireless stay amber even though I've connected it to my network - Pocket PC

8. Network Settings ( My Network Card connects to)=Blank

In trying to change "Private connection" so it would connect to my work VPN,
anyway it appears i messed up my settings for my Wireless Internet
connection.

On Network Connection
(Network Card),Configure Network Adapters.

"My Network Card connects to"
the Combo box would usually contain Internet,Work if i remember.
Now there are no entries.

All my Network Adapters are still there.
If i Soft Reset then i will receive a Notification about "this Adapter
connects to (Internet/Work), i select Internet and i will get internet
access. It then seems to lose this choice after a while.
This has affected my ActiveSync connection.
Using Wireless card and if i check it's IP, Mask etc are all correct.
Is there a way without Hard Reset to return to the Default Network Settings.

By the Way i did rename the 2 Connections from "My ISP, My Work" could that
be a problem
