HTC Blue Angel - Siemens SX66 - Audiovox 6600

I am having a problem with initiating connections to the Internet with
these devices. My software is designed to manage the internet
connections programmaticly so that a user does not have to worry about
connecting, etc.

I am trying to use RasDial and RasHangup but sometimes these functions
fail, and they never return. Sometimes putting the phone into flight
mode will allow the RasDial function call to return.

Has anyone else seen this?

Would it be better to use the ConnMgrEstablishConnection function call?

Does this call simply use RasDial behind the scenes?

As well on a AudioVox 6600 with a CDMA radio (on Bell Mobility) the
unit seems to support only one IP interface at a time. I have a virtual

ras connection that I use to tunnel IP data over a network and on all
other pocket pc's, the sx56, and audiovox 5050, I can activate my
virtual ppp interface and the cdma internet interface without any
problems, but on the audiovox 6600 the route print program shows only
one interface.

This particular unit does not have an Ethernet radio in it, is is
possible that the OS build is limited to just one interface at a time?

Any help

5. XDA IIs / HTC Blue Angel

Hi,

I have traded in my 4 year old iPAQ 3630 for an O2 XDA IIs with Rom version
1.31.00 dated 13 Dec'04 and Bluetooth build 3500.

However, after 4 days the XDA IIs is on the verge of being sent back to O2
(UK) as it demonstrates the following problems:

- it randomly freezes up 3-4 times a day, requiring a soft reset.

- the screen backlight brightness randomly sets itself to the lowest level,
making it difficult to see to change back again. It is particularly annoying
when this happens just before an incoming call and you can't see who's
calling! Also, at this point the screen tap does not activate the backlight.
This happens both on battery and mains power.

- connection to a Jabra BT250 bluetooth headset is poor with crackle
continually apparent.

- voice dialling does not work reliably. Out of 10 numbers I dialled 0 were
correct!

After consulting Google there are some comments about an earlier version of
the Bluetooth build not working very well or at all with voice activated
dialling, but I understood that these had now been sorted with the 3500
build.

O2 are more than willing to swap the phone, but there seems little point in
doing this if the problems are more than just a faulty phone. So can anyone
tell me please if these problems (and particularly the first and second
problems) are known issues? Is it likely that a swap will solve these
problems?

Many thanks.

Marty
