Pocket PC Networking >> ad hoc networking

I'm trying to find out what kind of ad hoc functionality is standard on
pocket pc's. I've seen on ipaq's with Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition
there is a "Network Cards" icon in the Connections tab in Settings. It
allows me to setup a wireless network and configure it to be ad-hoc. I
haven't seen this on ipaq's with the older Windows Mobile versions.

Can anyone tell me if
1) this is functionality provided by Microsoft
2) it can be manipulated programatically
3) this ad-hoc connection has any sort of sophistication in being able to
maintain a multi-user network.

An answer to any of the questions or maybe a reference would be great.

1. Win2000 bridge between 802.11 wireless Ad Hoc network and a wire network

Hi chaps,

Maybe a FAQ and maybe not the right NG, but I've got a question about
this configuration:

I've got 4 PCs home

3 of them connected with wire cables and a router. (They work) :)

1 PC has got 2 NICs, 1 wire and 1 wireless 802.11b (It works!)

I also got my PDA (dell axim) with a 802.11b adaptor. (Yeah working
fine).

The PDA and the wireless adaptor on PC are comunicating via Ad Hoc
connection, working sound and safe.

Right, both networking are working fine, but I cant see the wire
network from the wireless one and vice-versa.

I know on XP you can use a bridge between the two network connections
and get rid of the problem,
but Im running under win2000 and I couldnt find any solution.

(I've already tried as suggested to enable the internet connection
sharing on the wire networking in the PC with 2 NICs, it didnt help at
all)

Im sure most of you have got the same configuration, so any little
help on how to make it working it's very appreciated.

Thanks,
Dado.

5. Creating an Ad-Hoc Network?

I know this has been asked before, but I can't find a solution. I want to set
up an ad-hoc network on my online PC so I can share its Internet connection.

The set up proceeds for a while, then I get an error message "Windows could
not set up <name of network>".

I've tried different security details, I get the same message.

7. share internet over wireless ad hoc network

How do you set up Vista to share it's (wired) internet connection with other
computers on a wireless ad hoc network?

I have a desktop computer (with Vista) connected to the internet through an
ethernet cable, and I have a wireless PCI card that I want to use to share
the internet connection. I'm trying to create a wireless ad hoc network
between the desktop and my laptop (Windows XP). I can create the wireless
network between the two computers, but I can not connect to the internet
(wirelessly through the desktop) with my laptop. On my desktop (vista) I
checked the box to allow Internet Connection Sharing, but is there something
else I have to allow through windows firewall? Thanks
