installation >> Microsoft Outlook 2007 - deleting messages after reading

I "successfully" installed Outlook 2007 on my new laptop. I can send and
receive messages fine. However, as soon as I read a message - its GONE!

By the way - this install was with Vista - so I don't know if that plays a
part in it at all.

Does anyone have any helpful tips, perhaps there is a setting or something?
I installed using the default options, I did not customize anything. I'm not
real technical so, I try to stay away from customizing software.

use the down navigator.
