I have my Office 2007 installed on the "D" draive but when I try to install
the Office 2007 Service pack 1 (office2007sp1-kb936982-fullfile-en-us.exe) it
always failed.
But on a machine with office on the "C" drive , the service pack install OK.

I have review several post, but none matches exactly what
I am seeing. Like some of the other people, I have tried
both auto downloads and downloading the full installation
files and all I get is a message that says installation
is unsucessful for both products with no clue as to why.
No drives have been changed, product id shows up in
help, and there is no request for a CD as I had left the
installation files in place. I have had no problems with
previous updates for Office 2003. The Office installation
was from an action pak subscription I have and the
OneNote was a full retail package I bought before it was
released in the subscription. Is this going to be a
problem for my clients also. My test machine is running
XP Pro with all updates installed.
Thanks, Dan

hi
i have never ever had problems with outlook 2002 (part of
office xp) loading up slowly before, until i installed
service pack 1 then service pack 2. it takes upwards of
10 seconds for it to load now.
i couldn't figure out how to uninstall the patches, so i
uninstalled office altogether, rebooted, and cleaned out
the old directories. i reinstalled it, didn't put on the
SPs, and still the same problems!!!
any ideas??? thanks
