6. outlook always default email application - why

Hi

I use Outlook 2003 for my callender and OE6 for email

Until a week ago, OE6 always remained the default email application unless I
installed a patch or updated Outlook, at which time it would set itself as
default. Fair enough.

Last week I upgraded by BIOS (not sure if this is relevant, but just so you
know)

Now everytime I turn on Outlook, it becomes default mail programme.

In options/ general, OE6 tells me it is not the default.

Internet options lists Outlook as default

But in Outlook/Options/other the default mail, calender, contacts box is not
ticked.

I change it all back and OE6 is defalut. the I turn on Outlook and it
becomes default.

Any ideas

Thanks

8. Setting Yahoo mail as the default email application

I have found multiple answers to setting the default email application in
Windows. I would like to set Yahoo mail as my default, but it is not listed
as an option in the Internet Properties email window. Only Outlook and
Windows Live are listed. I called the Yahoo help desk and they were no help.
Does anyone know how I can do this?
