Microsoft Office Outlook >> Outlook 2000 SP3 can't use HTML stationary

When I tryto compose a new message using stationary, the message window
opens, displays the stationary for 1 second, and then goes blank. Sometimes
there is something that looks like a placeholder for an image, other times it
is all blank. It used to work, but just stopped working one day for no
apparent reason. Other wierd things happen too: toolbars disappear and
settings seem to change automatically, for example, and Outlook Today does
not function at all. Removal and reinstallation does not help. This
installation is something over a year old, dating from replacement of a new
hard drive. The .pst file is much older than that, though. The HTML problem
is just a couple of months old. The Outlook Today problem predates this
installation, and was not affected by it. "Detect and Repair" does not help.

I want to begin using custom stationary in Outlook 2000.
I want this stationary to include our bank logo, phone

I can't find a resource that tells me what size the
background image containing the logo, etc. has to be. I
can use Photoshop or something else to create it if I knew
the exact size it needed to be.

Any help or feedback would be appreciated.
