Microsoft Office Outlook >> Recurring Appointment Mystery

by TFlOU0tJ » Fri, 14 Oct 2005 03:49:01 GMT

I have a customer that sent a recurring appointment to several resource
(conference room) calendars for a daily appointment throughout 2006. What
happened is that everyone that has editor rights to these resource calendars
received this appointment in their mailbox and it posted to their calendars
as well.

There are not any forwarding rules on any of these resources. There are no
delegate rights set for anyone and the calendar is shared with reviewer and
editor rights. The appointment was not sent to any of these people through
the actual appointment request.

How could this appointment have gone to all these people who have editor
rights? I am at a wonder and can't find an answer. I'd appreciate any
assistance!!

I'm sorry, I forgot to specify that we are using Outlook 2003.

1. Recurring appointment/events linked to other recurring appointment

Does anyone know how I can create a recurring event, that is tied to an
existing recurring event?

I need an event for the first tuesday of every month(easy) - a report
submission date. Followed by an event for the following friday for a
meeting. I can't just make it a recurring event for the first Friday of a
month, as sometimes the firday preceeds the tuesday?

Any recommendations? I'd like it to show in the calander, so would prefer
not to use Tasks and reminders.
