I am using Excell within Office for Mac X. I am having issues with the
formatting palette. It can be opened either by instruction in the drop
down menu or by way of the 'Hot Button' on one of the toolbars. The
software is being run on a Titanium Powerbook G4.

When I open the palette it "runs" to its last OPEN location. Somehow,
this location is about 5 mm to the right hand side edge of my screen.
My problem is simple. The cursor only extends to the edge of the
screen so I have no way of dragging it back on screen. This also begs
the question, How did it locate itself there in the first place when
my cursor stops at the edge of the screen.

I have tried lots of things including de installing and re-installing
the software. Now i am even more annoyed because there must be some
files which aren't uninstalled because after re-installing it still
seems to be remembering the "Open" location of the formatting palette.

Any suggestions please

I need to automatically date stamp a two column entry and retain the date.
The formula in column C could be =IF(AND(A1>0,B1=0),TODAY(),NOCHANGE) This 
would result in the date appearing in column C when an entry is made in A1 
and the date holding when an entry is made in B1 - how simple. Except there 
isn't a function like NOCHANGE available. (this would also be the perfect 
solution for killing circular references and reiterations in a single cell)
So, can anbody please advise how I can achieve the same result from a 
formula using the available functions in Excel?

6. Problem with Excel: Simple multiplying calculations don't work. 

When I apply simple mulitiplication formulas to a spreadsheet, the formula 
always returns "0" as an answer. If i select the formula field and hit enter, 
it then returns the correct result. I have all the updates. It doesn't seem 
to happen when I create a new worksheet, only when I'm doing it in someone 
elses spreadsheet. There is no protection applied.

8. Simple Excel VB problem 

Hi, im very new to Visual Basic and am using it for a university
project im doing.

i want to be able to check if an integer within a cell is in a range
of cells on a different sheet also containing integers. If it is in
that range of cells then i want it to publish to a list box i have.

Im guessing this is a real simple bit of syntax so if anyone could
give me some example ccode, i would be very much appreciative.
