1. HELP! Natbib bibliography with date after author
I'm trying to help a friend with a deadline to get her references in
the format her faculty require.
She is currently using
\usepackage{natbib}
\bibpunct{(}{)}{;}{a}{,}{,}
and
\bibliographystyle{plainnat}
Everything in the text is fine, but in the bibliography list, it
currently produces:
S. Black. Homework: the sixth day of instruction. ESR Spectrum, 8:35
41, 1990.
She needs to have the date after the author, in brackets, and the
author surname listed first ie:
Black, R. (1990) Homework: the sixth day of instruction. ESR Spectrum,
8:35 41.
Is there a quick and easy way to achieve this?
Best wishes,
Nicholas
2. custom-bib: Bibliography sorted by author-date possible?
3. bibtex: apalike [author-date] style: overwrite author
Hi,
I'm a total newbie to bibtex and puzzled with another questions. I'm
dealing with some references which are not easily associated with _one_
author, i.e. I can fill the author field and I want the authors to
appear in the References but it's not a good idea to use the (first)
author as a citation label. Sometimes it seems better to use the
organisation, group or maybe title.
Thus, I'm looking for style where key overwirtes author when creating
labels whenever key is set.
Thanks
Jan

5. Change the author and date font in KOMA-Script
Hello all,
I'm making a few adjustments to a document using the scrartcl class.
Most things are straight-forward, but I can't work out if there is an
interface to alter the font used to set \author and \date. I can do
the following:
\documentclass{scrartcl}
\setkomafont{title}{\rmfamily\huge\bfseries}
%\setkomafont{date}{\normalsize}
%\setkomafont{author}{\normalsize}
\author{A.~N.~Other}
\date{Text in place of a date}
\title{An example of customisation in KOMA-Script}
\begin{document}
\maketitle
\end{document}
Everything is fine for the title, but the commented-out lines for
author and date do not work. Does KOMA-Script have an interface for
this, or is it a DIY job?

6. Small caps author date citation in italic environment
7. Harvard abbreviations not enforced for same dates with different authors
I would like to enforce abbreviations into "firstauthor et al." for all uses
of citations in the text when using the harvard style (\usepackage[abbr
{harvard}).
When the author(s) is/are the same, this works in the case where the date of
publication is also the same by appending letters, e.g.,
"it was shown by thisguy et al. (2005a) and thisguy et al. (2005b) that ..."
& in the bibliography:
thisguy, thisguy and this other guy, 2005a, ref to paper
thisguy, thisguy and this other guy, 2005b, ref to 2nd paper
However that does not work if list of authors is not exactly the same, e.g.,
if the bibliography reads:
thisguy, thisguy and this other guy, 2005, ref to paper
thisguy, this other guy and this other guy, 2005, ref to another paper
(note that list of authors is not the same now), then in the text, instead
of reading as in the former case, full list of authors will be expanded to
read:
"it was shown by thisguy, thisguy and this other guy (2005) and thisguy,
this other guy and this other guy (2005) that ..."
So, again, I wish I could enforce abbreviations with "et al." in the text
all the time and have the references be discriminated by appending letters
to the date, as in the case of identical list of authors.
This case does not seem to be supported from the extensions one finds in the
documentation.
Is there a way without hacking the bst file, and if not, is there a way
hacking the bst file?
