Oric computers >> Who is running Microtan65?

by witheld » Sun, 16 Oct 2005 05:20:43 GMT

Hi all ... I have received an email asking who is still running the
oric's predecessor the microtan65 ... if you are then please reply to
this thread

I am currently renovating my house so I have not run mine this year
... though I have made a small change to the web page
www.microtan.co.uk ... the text accompanying the picture of the TANEX
expansion board now has the correct total memory 8K .. Thanks to Lee
Davison for pointing out the error ... it is amazing what was achieved
within 8k of memory.

XXXX@XXXXX.COM ...

Does a home-made "Microtan-like" count ?
I'm still waiting for a genuine Microtan 65, it is stuck in UK...
This would allow me to make experiments with the video generation circuitry, and
then add a similar circuitry to my own Micro2065: a 20 MHz 65xxx board, see a
picture on http://oric.free.fr/IMAGES/Micro2065.jpg with a 6502 but I 'm now
running it with a 65816...
Also, two example screen captures of Basic in action on
http://oric.free.fr/IMAGES/microtan2005.PNG and
http://oric.free.fr/IMAGES/vt220.PNG , though I usually work with a 65816
debugger of mine (currently using it to debug a Lisp interpreter and a Java
virtual machine)...

Cheers,

Fabrice
