Hiya y'all,
Did speak again with Mum yesterday (Tuesday) and received an update on how
William is doing...
He is still in hospital in St.Johann in Tirol, Austria.
Some of his stitches has been removed, and his balloon & two bags have been
removed. (One bag was for his urine and the other for his stomach).
The test results came back basically saying that what he had was a bad
infection, which is cleared/clearing up (unsure which). The great news is
that there is no cancer (if so, it would have hit me and my family hard
having just lost my great-uncle to it).
William is to be released from hospital this Thursday or Friday.
There is a legal-rangle to be faced when he does get out. The insurance (or
company representing them) company, International Rescue Services [Nope -
not the Thunderbirds!!!] are stating that Dad & William have to make their
own way to Saltzberg Airport. However, the doctor and hospital are insisting
on William travelling there by ambulance.
I just hope and pray that he will be fit enough for the flight, and then
road travel home from Aberdeen to Elgin (65 miles, but a 1.5 to 2 hour
drive).
Personally this has been hard for me being SO far away from my family at
this time, and I think the stress has majorly gotten to me. I was quite ill
last weekend, and then again today, even taking the day off work. This has
not been good, and even more so because the timing has meant I have not been
to our local church fellowship in that time.
At home I have been quite "mopey" but glad that I have a wife in Arianna who
is extremely understanding.
Thanks again to everyone who has been thinking & praying for William and our
family.
