I have built a click once .NET 2.0 application that uses ADOMD.NET for MDX
queries on a SQL2005 Data cube. When originally starting this project I used
SQl2000 AS and the Pivot table lite executable for the communication with the
cube (which required admin rights to install).

My questions is, can a non administrator user install SQL2005_ADOMD.MSI or
are administrator rights required? I will be able to bootstrat the ADOMD.NEt
and have general users install if no admin rights are requried.

Hi,

I have used the one click publish tool to create a installation for my app. 
Users will get the installation from the internet.

When a client machine tries to run the installation it goes so far, then 
terminates with the message

Unable to install or run the application. The application requires that 
assembly (ass name) be installed in the Global Assembly Cache(Cache) first

(ass name) is the 3rd party component I have used in my application.

What is going wrong, and how do I solve this problem ?

Hi,

I installed VS.NET 2003 . After that when I'm trying to unistall old setup
of VS.NET 2002, it is failing.

First time it gave the error that it can't find vs_setup.msi. But that file
comes only in installation CD and doesn't come in installed files. Running
second time, it is asking me to give CD1 of installation. I don't have that
now.

Any idea??

Hi:

Can I install .NET Framework SDK 1.1 if I have VS.NET 2003 install the
reason that I ask is that because I think my .NET Framework is corrupted
because when a I do a windows update it tells me that I need to install SP2
of .NET Framework
