The latest version of BBC BASIC for Windows (5.01a, just released)
ships with the library file SOCKLIB.BBC which provides easy access to
socket interfaces for TCP/IP communication between computers. There
are a couple of example programs using this library on the BB4W
discussion group, a simple web server application and a procedure to
send emails:
