RenderMan & RISpec >> RSL site gone?

by nico » Tue, 12 May 2009 14:25:13 GMT

Hello,

Just a quick check to see if anyone knew what went wrong with the
accompanying website to the RSL book. I thought that was a temporary
thing a few weeks ago, but it seems to be gone for real. I just
wanted to check and download the latest errata for the book and some
of the code. Any of the authors following this newsgroup?

Cheers. nico

Sorry about that, Nico! I'll alert Rudy. He has been swamped with TD-
College matters and probably doesn't realize the rslprogramming site
is down.

Thanks for posting about this, we'll get it fixed.

Cheers,
Saty

RenderMan & RISpec >> RSL site gone?

I just wanted to know if anyone here had a copy of the errata of the
RSL Guide, or if it is posted elsewhere than the original site... I
find myself going back and forth between books to figure out why my
code is not always right (definitively a good way to understand one's
mistakes), and having access to that errata could be useful as well :)

thanks.

6. pics wont go where i want then to go in word 2007

Hi i am working with Word 2007. I have inserted pictures from file into my
document and have wrapped them to tight as i want them in amongst my text but
i am having severe problems trying to position my pictures. Ie i can't get
it
under my heading or to the left of my lext. Infact everytime i try to move
it, it just jumps to wherevere it wants to go and it is driving me mad. I do
not know exact positioning and quite often find i have to move them from
their original location anyway.

Is there a way that i can set up my pictures so that i can simply click and
drag them to where i want them and they stay where i put them??????

8. DirecX8.1 beginners steps - The model gets cut off when camera goes up

Hello all,

I've got a simple setup with a single model in it and a camera which
currently can only move over the three axis.

When I move the camera up (using D3DTS_VIEW, incrementing its Z coordinate)
the displayed model seems to loose parts at the far end. Its like the model
gets dipped into water which I can't see in/thru.

The code I have is taken from several examples, and none of them talk about
this effect. Is there a setting I should have included somewhere ?

Regards,
  Rudy Wieser
