Hi,

can anybody give me a hint where I can obtain
BMRT 2.6? I searched Google, but to no avail.
I only found link references to documents,
threads, etc., but no binary. I'm using Linux.

Is there a particular feature in BMRT you need which is not available
in e.g.

1. Aqsis : http://www.aqsis.org/ [Open sourced]
2. 3Delight : http://www.3delight.com/ [Commercial, evaluation
avaliable]
3. Pixie : http://www.cs.utexas.edu/ ~okan/Pixie/pixie.htm [Open
sourced]
4. Air : http://www.sitexgraphics.com/ [Commercial, evaluation
available]


The first three has port for Linux, OSX and Windows.
Air has port for Windows and Linux.

Hi Nicholas,




I just installed Ayam, which recommends using
BMRT 2.6. I do have Aqsis 1.1 installed already,
but in the Ayam preferences there's only the choice
between Aqsis 0.8 and 0.9. Plus, BMRT comes with a
selection of RIB shaders.

You can safely use the Aqsis0.9 set of parameters for Aqsis1.1.

which operation system? Which version of Gimp?
Is "gimp-print" installed (at least under Linux mandatory)?
