solidworks >> Mark Dimension for Drawing

OK, I have searched the archives and have not seen an answer to this.
Is it possible to set SW so that when you create a dimension in a model
the switch for "Mark for Drawing" is turned OFF? It is on by default.
Any help is appreciated!

So no one else has seen this issue?

I've seen it, I just haven't been able to come up with an answer. I thought
there would be an option to check or uncheck, but I didn't find it.

I figured a way around it. When you go to insert model items in the
drawing, it gives the option of "Dimensions marked for drawing" or
"Dimensions NOT marked for drawing". So just uncheck the items you
want to appear, and it works perfectly. You just have to do it exactly
backwards from what would be logical!!

3. Dimensioning to center mark rather than hole

Hello all,
When I want to dimension a hole's distance from an edge in a
drawing, it seems that I automatically pick the center mark rather than
the hole edge when I click on it - resulting in a 90?mark every time.
I have to zoom in on each hole and select the edge precisely to get
its distance from the edge.

I guess I could delete all the center marks, dimension all the
holes and then add them, but is there a better way to dimension to the
hole?
Thanks

5. Could you use "mark for drawings" for only a few dimensions at once.

Hello Everyone,

By default, part sketch dimensions are checked "mark for drawings". Is
there a way to change this so the default is that they're not marked
for drawings?

I'd really like to use the "mark for drawings" option on only a few
dimensions.

For example, if I'm designing a part with a press fit hole for a dowel
pin, I'd like to have that dimension, and only that dimension, import
into a drawing. The rest of the dimensions will be done in the
drawing.

Is there a way to do this?

(using SW2005 and SW2006 - simultaneously - wish me luck!)

Hi,

We are looking for importing CAD drawings into an application. What we

Any pointers would help.
