I am using current version of Vista Home Premium with a 5600+AMD-Asus MB,
3Gig Ram, GF8500 512Mb. I was able to trnsfer settings from old computer (XP)
after re-installing game on new computer. Downloaded all of the lasted
patches using Halo Update. Played from previous check point for 3 hrs.
Shutdown system when done. Dilema is this... when I booted up next day and
went to play Halo the initial screen came up, but nothing happened. Tried
again and got error stating that Halo was already running. Checked Task
Manager and sure enough, Halo was running under processes. I have tried
numerous re-installs and setting changes to my Video, but cannot get Halo to
play again. Any thoughts???

I had to re-install Vista, due to another issue. When I re-installed Halo it
works fine now.

2. Halo Combat Evolved (PC) Problem

Hi all

I recently began playing Microsoft's Halo Combat Evolved (PC) on my Win Xp Pro based machine, and I had reached the level "Shut up and move it, Sir" (or something like that) where you have to take Col.(?) Keyes and the remaining marines off the Covenant Mothership and back onto Halo for safety

Well the mess started when I saved the game from this point. Then when i tried to continue with game from that point onwards, the next day, it kept on giving me a exceptional memory address error. I tried reinstalling the game but it didn't work out.

Could anyone help me out here?

Hello to All!!!

I've installed Halo Combat Evolved in my PC almost 6 months ago. But
when I've played it it seems to slow and too much lagging although my Video
Card is properly installed. Here are the specs of my PC:

    - Asus P5VDC-MX
    - NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500
    - Intel Pentium D (Dual Core) 2.8 GHz

Would anyone tell me whats wrong. Is it the CD or my Hardware.

6. Halo combat Evolved - I guess ver. 1

I got this game long time ago. Now I am trying to play it. I start the game,
I am in a room how do I get out? I have no weapons so I can't blow my way out
of anything.
It seem all I can do is walk around this room. There is one hall way and the
doors are blown. I do not see anthing to move my arm to slide the doors open
or anything else for that matter.
So how in the world are you suppose to play the game if you can not do
anything but walk around???
Wonderful; I can move forward, move backward, move left, move right, jump,
crouch, Oh by the way the flashlight works??
Help!
