games >> Extract Files from Vista Disc

Hi, Does anyone know how to extract a particular executable file from the
Vista installation DVD using either a command line or similar? I want to
extract the executable freecell.exe as I believe the copy on my hard drive is
corrupt. I've been through numerous other methods of reinstalling the game
and all have failed. I'm getting frustrated can anyone help?

Have you used a Restore Point in System Restore to revert to "yesterday"
when the file wasn't "corrupt"? That would be the way to go, not trying to
extract a single file from the cab files.

5. Extracting audio files from a game...

I have an old PC computer game called Obsidian, by the now defunct Rocket
Science. I would like to extract the audio soundtrack of this game (it has
some cool BGM by Thomas Dolby). What tool do I need to do this? The main
file sitting in the games directory is a .MPL file, which windoze describes
as an mplayer document. I am assuming this is an mTropolis archive. So, how
can I go about squeezing out the audio files from this thing? Any Ideas
would be appreciated.
