Thanks for the tips guys. I think I got rid of the so-called "emulation
software" now, a device (ezplay) installed by some cd burning software I
occasionly use. Now its down to jousting with my virus scanning software.
Between their use of this securedisc protection, and the apparently enforced
5 minute intro sequence that seems like it can't be skipped, one could
easily develop an acute dislike for the marketters of what otherwize looks
like a pretty amazing game.
