I have a new laptop w/ a nvidia 7200 card. My problem is that after
installing the game, I try to play the game and the mouse and the screen both
move in a choppy fashion and you can not play the game. What can you do to
correct this problem? Is there something that I can disable to make the game
run and play smoother?

Turn the graphics to low...turn off aero and all other enhancements in
vista, put in as much ram as you can get away with

What everyone else said, if the game is running, but it's just running slow,
drop all the game settings to VERY LOW, or as low as it will go. CoD4 is a
demanding game, even a desktop computer running an 8800 may not run it at
full settings. Notebooks (with some exceptions) are not really great gaming
rigs, they are designed for business
Game usually chooses which graphics settings are best for your computer when
you install it. If you changed those settings it could be why it's running
so slowly.

I just installed an Nvidia 8800GT -512meg video card in my Desktop. It has an
AMD 4800 Dual core, 2 gigs ram HD etc. I had an ATI x1800xt video card with
512 megs ram and running COD4 in 1680x1050 cause the game to run slow ( I
have an Acer 20"LCD. When I installed the 8800GT it ran great. I run Vista
Business. Sorry to tell you but a 7200 will barely cut it with aero turned
off. COD4 is very demanding.

I got the same problem, now it was fine before.
I switched to a different motherboard, P5nD32-E SLI Asus, I also
added more RAM like 2GB.
So now my specs are
Intel Core 2 duo 6600
Nvidia 7950 GX2,
4GB of Ram
I get the same choppy ordeal, I already tried all that low spec stuff
and still, Before I had it on High..
Any ideas?

After sorting a new graphics card so the demo would work, Santa gave me the
full game but......(after spending all xmas day trying to get it to run stil
no joy)
Installs ok, then goes to desktop loads disk with "COD2" screen giving
options of single/multi player, links etc when you click on single player it
goes to desktop, egg timer comes up for 2 seconds then it just seems the
computer just hangs. I have to turn off ar power to re boot. If I just double
click on the single player desktop icon it says insert CD (which it is) or it
just stays on the desktop and crashes sometimes. I have tryed both disk
drives and get the same. I have also re-installed it a few times, but get the
same.
The multi player works fine. This seems to not run off the disk
System seem to meet requirements for game and everything is upto date and
running well.
Anyone got any advice?

WONDERFUL demo but the fact that the demo is said to be "a mission from the
full game" (not *part* of a mission, but a mission) and considering the
shortness of some recent shooters I am a little paranoid about COD
I know the ads say "24 missions" but if each of these missions are as short
as the demo "mission" this is going to be the shortest single player game
yet.
Pure information-less paranoia here. Any reassurances appreciated.
