I would download the file and use Save As to save in a place you know. If
they are actually templates, the files should automatically save when you
download them, but sometimes they don't. And I think maybe the SmartArt
downloads are just regular PPT files, not templates.

Oh, and if you want them to show up in your gallery on the Design tab, put
them here:

(in Windows Vista)
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\Document Themes

(in Windows XP) C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application
Data\Microsoft\Templates\Document Themes

What I did in my Toshiba Laptop (running Windows Vista) was putting the
downloaded SmartArt graphics files (with exension "glox") into the following
folder:
"C:\Users\TOSHIBA\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\SmartArt Graphics". It
works.

I am trying to animate individual objects in a SmartArt Graphics group. As far as I can tell, I can only apply one type of animation to the entire group. Does anyone know how to animate different objects in the group differently? For example, one "box" just appears, but the arrow "wipes" from left to right?

7. Smartart graphics in PPT 2007

Hi everyone,

I'm using Powerpoint 2007 and am using smartart graphics to insert a
hierarchy flowchart object. There are a number of different versions
available but I need one where there is the ability to insert a picture at
the top of the box and then have the person's name and title underneath the
image. I know that I can insert an image manually as a shape fill but this
inserts the image into the background of the entire box which isn't what I
want. Also I didn't want to have to do it manually as I need it to keep all
the updating functionality that smartart graphics have.

I wondered if someone could tell me if there were any addons that you can
buy to extend Powerpoint 2007 that would include one of these smartart
graphics?

Appreciate any advice.
