powerpoint, Print direction in landscape orientation

1. Changing from portrait to landscape orientation.

I have an existing presentation that is in portrait 
orientation.
When I change over to landscape orientation, all of the 
pictures on the slides become distorted and not to their 
original proportions.  

How can I get the pictures to remain the same size and 
just the slide orientation change?

I am a relative newbie putting together a presentation. Many of the
slides are photographs and have different orientations. I have looked
in the PP help file and saw a discussion on hyperlinking. Evidentedly
I am not executing these steps properly. What i have done so far is to
create a second presentation with all of the photographs that have the
"portrait" orientation. Now how do a place those correctly in the
primary presentaion where all of the slides are landscape.

I was using the PowerPoint 2007 for using portrait and landscape slide 
orientation in the same slide/

I know you cannot do slides in both orientations in the same presentation but 
here is my problem.  
After the last slide of my landscape presentation, it jumps back to the last 
slide of the portrait presentation.

Is there a way to stop this from happening?
