powerpoint >> Hyperlink opens the browser instead of a slide

by bWFyZ29uYXQ » Wed, 03 Dec 2008 02:56:05 GMT

I am using PP 2003. Truing to insert a hyperlink pointing to a different
slide in the same presentation. I follow all the steps, selecting the slide I
need. When I click on the hyperlink, however, it opens a browser with this
url
www.mycompany.com/#487,6,Test%20My%20Link%20Defined

Can it be hardcoded somewhere in settings? I do not see any way to remove
www.mycompany.com.
Any ideas?

Hi Nataliya

Go to File >properties >summary and check for anything in "Hyperlink Base"

Does that help

I'm pulling my hair out on this one. On my computer (XP), the file

7. Hyperlink always opens a new file, instead of already open file

Hello al

I have a hyperlink to my access database, and whenever it is clicked, it opens a new copy of the database. As we go back and forth betweeen the two files using hyperlinks, I can get 10 or more copies of the database open, which really slows things down. Interesting that when I use the hyperlink that goes from access to visio, g t goes to the already open file, rather than opening a new one

How can I stop this??
