powerpoint >> How do I loop a sequence of animations in PowerPoint

by TWljaGFlbA » Fri, 01 Jul 2005 07:00:05 GMT

Can anyone help here? I already know how to repeat a single animation. But I
need to know how to loop a sequence or set. Example: animation A, then
animation B, then animation C, then A, B, C, etc.
Thanks.

Unfortunately, PPT's animations don't have a "loop sequence" option.

You could create a 1-slide custom show and loop that (see FAQ Loop at
http://www.echosvoice.com/animationfeatures.htm ) or you can create a
separate 1-slide presentation and link that into your file. See Linking and
Looping at http://www.awesomebackgrounds.com/powerpointtutorials.htm

Chirag has created an animations add-in that has a nice continuous
fade-in/fade-out. http://officeone.mvps.org/anims/anims.html

I found a way and it's easy and efficient...Select all the objects within the
animation sequence by holding down the shift key when selecting...Be sure to
select each animation object in the same order your want them to
perform...When you have all the objects selected, choose "Copy" from the Edit
Menu or by right clicking the mouse and choosing "Paste"...The next step is
to select "Paste" from the Edit Menu or by right clicking the mouse and
choosing "Paste". This will paste a duplicate of the animations you created
in the animation listing...You can do this as many times as you need...

Hi Michael,

I too needed to do the same thing and couldn't find anyone that thought it
possible on this community website. However, my co-worker found this website
which gives detailed step-by-step instruction on how to create this. Here is
the link:

I realized your post was from a while ago, but hopefully someone else
searching this forum will see this and find it useful!

1. Loop a sequence of animations in Powerpoint on one slide

2. Follow a continuously looped sequence with another slide sequence

I have a set of slides I want to show in a loop, each slide appearing for 20
seconds or so. When I terminate this loop by pressing Esc (or by any other
user-controled method) I want to exit this loop and automatically start
another sequence of slides. I've played around with using two different
presentations, but to no avail. As soon as the looped sequence ends the
program stops. This is my first Powerpoint VBA experiment. Any suggestions
will be appreciated.

The logic looks something like this:

Start Loop
    Show Slide for 20 sec
                  _ <User Terminated?> _
                  | |
                No Yes
                  | |
    Show Slide 2 |
End Loop |
                                                    Exit Loop
                                          Start second slide set

Thanks,

6. Glich in System with doing Complex Animations in Master

I have PowerPoint 2003 on XP.
Using the Master slide with adding Custom Animations, I am unable to
re-order the effects as I can with each regular slide (except I don't want to
have to do this with each individual slide--that's what the Master is for, i
think). For example, I start with Appearing, followed by Style Emphasis for
each line. The Master slide won't let me do this as the normal slides will.
Even if i create a new Animation Scheme with quikanim.ppt I still cannot do
this.
Actually, I just want to have each item in a list appear one at a time, go
bold or italics/bold or something catchy, then go back to normal as i click
for the next one to appear. I don't want the whole list to appear at once
then go bold one at a time.
I have searched everywhere for ways to do this. It seems like a basic
need... is it something special?
