Hey: OK, so I have a 'lowly' PC (to appease you Mac advocates), but here's the thing-- my problem is with QuickTime. I want to get an MPEG music video to play on my iPod. So I do what the instructions say-- I use the Export function in QuickTime to convert the movie from MPEG to iPod. The export takes a while but works fine, and the movie plays on my iPod, but it's got no sound. Then I check the file I converted, and it's got no sound either. Then I go in to the Export function again and, before I click Save, I check how QuickTime reads the file. Apparently QuickTime thinks that all my MPEG movie files, at least the ones in my Music Videos folder, have a video track but no audio track. If it's not reading the audio track, it's no wonder the converted file doesn't have any sound. A check of the internal workings of QuickTime shows that it's working properly and that all components are up to date. What could be causing this problem and what can I do to fix it? And yes-- I'm using Windows XP. Thanks for any help you can give

4. Crashing issues with AVI movies (Office 2004 for Mac)
I'm trying to develop a PPT presentation (Office 2004 for Mac) for eventual use on Windows machines. I'm able to insert an AVI movie into the PPT. As expected, the "compatibility report" warns me about potential issues with Windows playback of QuickTime movies, and suggests saving the file as a "PowerPoint Package". When I attempt to do this, the application crashes. In fact, when I save the file normally, close it, then reopen it, the application crashes, rendering my file completely useless. Both crashes produce the message "Microsoft has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for any inconvenience." I thought AVI was the recommended format and so I didn't expect to have this trouble. Very frustrating. Does it matter that the file icon for the AVI file is the QuickTime icon. Any suggestions?

7. Issues with Movie/Video Clips & Windows XP
After inserting a movie clip to a PowerPoint slide, I would like to mute the audio portion of the movie clip so only the video plays, not the audio portion (of the movie clip). I have a sound clip that plays in the same slide, but the audio from the movie clips plays as well - I don't want the movie clip audio to play. Any suggestions.........
