powerpoint >> Adding textures to to Powerpoint

I have a series of texture files which I would like to add to the gallery in PowerPoint 2008. That is, when I format a shape and choose Fill, then Textures, my texture would show in the list.
This was relatively easy to do on Windows and Office 2003.
Any help is appreciated.

1. Adding custom files to tht Textures area
Hello
We are using MS Office 2002 SP3 on Windows 2000 V5 SP4.
One of my users has come to me with a question about textures. I'm not
great with PowerPoint so thought I'd give the NGs a go. I've already
looked on the Web for an answer but haven't found one yet.
We have a corporate colour scheme for charts in PowerPoint, which we need
all staff to use. My user wants to be able to add small .jpg files
containing the different tones and shades of these corporate colours to the
list of textures built in to PowerPoint so that every time a user wants to
create a chart the custom colours are within easy reach.
Is there an area on the c:\drive where these files could be stored and
would automatically add themselves to the list of textures when a template
is used? Or is there another way to achieve the same result? I've
actually given the user 2 alternatives already but she's insistent that it
should be done this way if possible.
I'd appreciate any thoughts/suggestions.
Many thanks

3. Textures and LaTeX: must launch Textures first?
My personal experience with TeXing LaTeX source files using Textures on
the Mac (OS 9) is that the only way to do this successfully is always to
launch the Textures application first, then open the to-be-LaTeXed
source file. If I just double-click on the source file before opening
Textures:
(a) Textures doesn't show the LaTeX format as selected or even
selectable in the typesetting menu -- I have to go to the Edit menu and
reenable the LaTeX format; and
(b) Even after doing that, Textures can't find the .cls or .sty files
in the TeX Inputs folder.
If I open the same source file from within the already opened Textures
app, everything works fine.
Anyone else have the same problem? -- or do I have something screwed up
in my system?
