powerpoint >> Edits not visbile in real time with multiple windows open

Processor: Intel

When I open multiple windows for a single Powerpoint document, and try to edit the text on a slide in the "second" window, the changes I am making are not visible in the window in which I am typing until I select some other point in the window (click on something). (When I click somewhere else in the window, the edits I just made appear all at once.)

Those edits ARE visible, in real time, in the "primary" window (if I have it open to the same page) as I am making them in the second window. (where the "primary" window is the first window that was opened for the file).

Also, if I make the edits directly in the primary window, they still don't appear in the second window until I click somewhere in that second window.

Is this a known bug? In PPT 2004, I could type anything in any window, regardless of how many windows I had open, and the edits were visible in real time.

The problem is not isolated to a single file.

2. Opening multiple presentations in multiple windows ?

When I open multiple presentations they open in the same window - this is a
pain when working with two monitors and two presentations. What I want ppt to
do is open a new presentation in a new window - much easier to then go full
screen on two monitors to work on a new presentation from bits of other ones.

The default behaviour that I have for Word is like this, but not for
powerpoint - any ideas would be gratefully received. I've searched both
microsoft help and the faq's with no joy.

Thanks,

are opened on the button click of any one of the presentation. Please

6. Update time on real time

I am running a PPT presentation, which broadcast information in cable TV
system. This presentation runs in loop all week long. I would like every
slide on it to display the current date and time.
If I use the option nsert date and time...and check the option pdate
automatically every slide will display the launching time of the
presentation, rather then the current computer clock time. So after a while
it displays the wrong time. Is there a way to work around this problem?
