powerpoint >> Editing Excel Chart on a Powerpoint

After making a bar graph/chart on Excel, I copied and pasted it onto a ppt slide. On my PC, I was able to double click on the bar chart in powerpoint and it allowed me to change the data directly on ppt. I can't seem to do this on my mac.

1. Need VBA for editing Excel Charts embedded in Powerpoint

Hello!

I have two different scenarios I need to solve and I
imagine they will be handled similarly. FYI, I program
frequently in VB and using VBA in Excel, but using VBA in
Powerpoint is new to me.

The users at my company create huge Powerpoint documents.
Each Powerpoint file will contain many pages and each page
will contain up to four charts. The charts are all linked
to Excel spreadsheets.

The first request I had was to give them an option for
moving the legend location on each chart to the bottom.

The second request is to create a tool for changing the
path for the linked files (the files are moving to a
different file server).

I'm sure the logic will be similar in each case, but I
have no clue how to do this within Powerpoint.

I could really use some direction on how to edit EACH
Excel chart within a Powerpoint document.

TIA!

3. Excel charts inserted into Powerpoint presentation - editing & clo

I use Excel 2003. When I insert an excel chart into my powerpoint
presentation and then edit the chart and close it - the gridlines appear
(they were not there originally). How do I close the excel chart without
having the gray lines appear? My excel chart already has the "gridlines"
option turned off. These lines are the light gray lines - I guess not
technically gridlines but not sure what else to call them.

5. edit (ungroup) excel chart in powerpoint 2007

Hello,
I'm using the trial version of Office 2007 (and looking forward to probably
upgrading back to 2003). I used to be able to paste an excel chart into
powerpoint, right click to ungroup all the chart elements and then edit as I
please. How is this done in 2007? The chart pasted into powerpoint remains an
excel chart and I have access only to the editing options available for a
chart, which are insufficient for my needs. Perhaps one option would be to
first paste the chart into photoshop or some other graphics program but I
need to be able to edit/move individual elements of the chart and not have it
treated as a single graphic.
Thanks.

Hi,

There is a bar chart created by Excel 2003. I am not able to edit it after
I put it in Powerpoint. The Edit feature is dimmed. However, I am able to
edit it with the the same Powerpoint file on another PC.

Thank you for your kind attention.
