powerpoint >> Text flying in over text

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I am working on a list on an older version of PPT at home (2004) but when I run the PPT on a newer computer (Mac or PC) the slide changes. On the older version, my list just flies in one item at a time when I hit the space bar, but on the newer version of PPT the list appears in a ligther color and then each item lays over the original version as it flies in. I do not want a lighter version on the screen; I just want the list to fly in. I have uploaded a screenshot to imageshack if this isn't making sense.

http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/2097/screenshot20100405at114.png

You can see that the first two items of the list are brighter but the bottom 3 lists are already on the screen when I don't want that information there until I click to have it fly in.

Does anyone know how do I can fix this problem? Thanks.

This sounds like a bug that hasn't yet been fixed. It's due to the Shadow
applied to the Content Placeholder. You can fix it if you select the
placeholder then on the Formatting Palette's Shadow group clear the check.

1. PowerPoint 2007 - Importing Text On-The-Fly

Hello to the PowerPoint Group!

I am new to PowerPoint (over a decade in 3D, Web) and, using PowerPoint 2007
have recently learned how to link to external images and Flash swfs to
prevent embedding and make a presentation somewhat "data driven". A few
coworkers tell me that, although they can't remember how to do it, it is
possible to link to an external document and import specific text from said
document.

Can PowerPoint do that?? I have had no luck in discovering how, but if the
answer is yes, could someone provide the required process and associated
document types?

Many thanks!

2. Fly in text (animation) all messed up

3. Text 'Fly In' Animation

I have a slide with 3 bullet points. I have already animated them 'on
entrance.' Now I want to animate the first bullet to become grayed-out when
the 2nd bullet appears. Same for #2 and #3. Can that be done? How?
Thanks,

4. Flying text one line at a time

5. Animating free text (not text in a text box)

Is it possible in PowerPoint 2003? .... or do you have to cut free text and
paste into a text box and then add animation (which gets a bit messy)?

7. Macro to automate a text entry into a comment text field

Hello,
I am trying to figure out a way (maybe not a macro) to automate text entry
into a text comment field.

Here is what I am trying to do. Either by pressing a macro key or by a
assigning a macro to a control button, I would like to "automatically" enter
the text into the selected comment box. The information I am trying to
display as text is something like (like a text-based timestamp)
:
"<NOW> - Logged by: <system user name>"
"02/07/06 - Logged by: Joe Smith"

I do not have a need for time stamping the information in the database, but
would like to have the text "time stamp" with user information available on
the comment/text side for documentation.

Please let me know if anyone has an idea how to get this accomplished.
Thank you.
