I've got a PP 2007 presentation with a number of linked Excel Charts in it. SOme of these links have gone bad . When I right-click and select "Edit Data". I get an errorr that says:"The linked File is Not avaialble. Use the Edit Links command to find the file" Where is this command???? I must be blind but I can't find it anywhere.
2. internal link edit command failed
3. change/edit the link file name
I'm changing to Vista and the old Powerpoint allowed you to change the source file for links form Excel or other programs. I can't find where you edit the links in Vista.
5. Edit Links to Files Powerpoint 2007
I have a couple of Powerpoint presentations with graphs where the data is linked to an Excel spreadsheet. At one point when I opened the presentation I received a message (Microsoft Office Powerpoint Security Notice) asking if I want to update the links. Now however, not only do I not receive the message allowing me to update the links, but the Edit Links to files option has disappeared from my Office menu. I can update the graphs by opening each one individually (if the Excel file is open) but I have a few hundred slide to update on a regular basis and would like to have it automated (again) Anyone have any suggestions? Both the Excel and Powerpoint file are in the same folder on the C Drive
