Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Does anyone know how to directly implement these in PPT 2008?

Inserting symbols is now done in the ToolBox Object Pallet, but these special characters are no longer available.

A work around may be to generate the text in Word 2008, where the symbol menu will let you insert these. And then copy back to PPT.

But still, is there a means to do this directly in PPT 2008?

Use the OS X Character Viewer in a similar fashion to the old Insert> Symbol
dialog... Except that you can insert any glyph from any installed font &
it's available to all apps.
