Hello all
When animating a block of text (Text Animationa) to show just one paragraph/line at a time (with a click) could someone please explain what the text group "Level(s) 1-5" mean or do?

PPT supports up to 5 levels of Bullets & Numbers -- a 1st Level topic with
up to 4 sublevel or subordinate items. That feature determines what portion
of the list (beginning at the "top") is affected by the animation effect.
IOW, in a multi-level list you can have the Animation Effect apply to Item 1
and all of its sublevels or you can have Levels affected as a group as well
as applying effects to each individual level.

My intent is to make a text box that appears like a DOS command prompt with typewriter style text animation. <br><br>In the Windows PowerPoint, the text animation tab has a delay option when doing by letter animation.  The Mac PowerPoint is missing this option.  I can enter a number in the Timing section, but it does not seem to apply to text animations.  <br><br>There are quite a few letters in the text box ... how can I speed this up???

4. Powerpoint 2007 text animation 

Can anyone help on this very basic question:  when creating slides with slide 
transitions and (built-in) text animations, on hitting 'play' each slide 
presents correctly - but on running slideshow, none of the text animations 
appear.  I have searched 'help' for this problem, with no success.  Is there 
an intermediate step that I need?    This is running under Vista.

8. How do I change text animation in ppt??? 

I followed the help menu to change the way text enters when the slide is 
advanced. ie., highlight first text item>entrance>on click> highlight second 
text item>with prev...etc. Then I "play" and it slows that it appears as 
changed, but when I go to "slide show" it reverts back to each bulleted item 
appearing with idividual mouse click! I do not see an "apply" button...what 
am I doing, or not doing incorrectly?????
