Hi:
I just updated Office 2008 with SP2 12.2.0, but some of my presentations freeze Powerpoint (not responding) when I click any text on it.
I uninstalled Office, reinstalled original version and updated to 12.1.9 and works fine. I made a new update to SP2 12.2.0 and had the same problem again.
Can anyone help me?
Many thanks

Just to confirm, I had the exact same problem.

I can confirm I had the same issue. At the beginning I thought of a problem with the fonts used in the document, since I could edit some of the texts. But after a reinstallation and an upgrade to 12.1.9, I can now edit all the texts. So I guess PP 12.2.0 is the issue.

Hi,
Anyone has the same problem as mine? I'm not able to send my invite as long as I can remember.
My office has been updated to 12.1.5 and I still received the -3259 error.
It is getting to my nerve.
Please advise.
Thanks

I downloaded the Update but am getting an error message "A version of the software required to install this update was not found on this volume."
I found a similar discussion on this forum relating to a prior update, and I looked at the various solutions (repairing permissions, etc). One of my problems seems to be that the install package or disk image does not appear on my desktop or downloads folder (or anywhere else on my hard drive that I can locate) so I cannot use one of the suggested solutions (copying disk image to desktop, etc).
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I installed the most recent update on 3/17/08 and my Entourage email immediately started freezing and hanging, repeatedly requesting permission to update the keys for my accounts.
The whole Mac froze, using nearly 100% of the processor and memory, and no error messages appeared in console.log or system.log.
After 2 hours, I finally had to force quit. My Entourage is unable to function at all, and freezes on opening.
I tried manually downloading and re-installing the update, but it won't allow me to install it because it says it doesn't find a qualifying version of the software there. (Because I'm all legal and registered, I took that to mean it found version 12.0.1 on there already and figured I didn't need to update again.)
Any ideas how I can get this straightened out?
